Herb Remington

Herb Remington's legacy as a steel guitarist still continues today and we honor the man--and his guitar--in our Masters series.

Herb Remington made his mark as a steel guitar great when Bob Wills tapped him for his Texas Playboys band in 1946.

During his tenure with Wills, he wrote Boot Heel Drag, which is now a standard in the repertoire.

Remington Ride is another such song, written and recorded in 1949.

We have a real treat here as the master himself plays his song Remington Ride in the video below, filmed at the Texas Steel Guitar Association's non-pedal room in 2008.

More bio info can be found at Herb's website here. And check out his line of incredible Remington Steelmaster non-pedal guitars.
